Lead a Premier Science Publishing House

An exceptional opportunity exists for an accomplished publishing leader to steer the strategic direction of a globally recognised science publisher.

As Director, you will foster innovation and continuous improvement, manage risk, and secure resources to achieve long-term goals. You'll oversee commercial performance, drive transformation to a sustainable open access model, and implement financially viable commissioning strategies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver business strategy, identify opportunities, and manage resources to achieve long-term success.
  • Transition scholarly journals to open access and develop a sustainable commissioning strategy for books.
  • Manage a high-performing team, fostering a values-based culture and promoting stakeholder engagement.

You Will Bring:

  • Proven senior publishing leadership with strong commercial acumen, experience managing high-performing teams, and knowledge of digital publishing technologies.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential; experience in scientific or not-for-profit environments is desirable.
