Key Roles and Responsibilities

A skilled professional is required to lead portfolio oversight, planning, and reporting activities to support the delivery of culturally responsive and future-focused education infrastructure across Queensland.

Responsibilities:
  • To provide strategic oversight and reporting on planning programs to meet long-term infrastructure needs.
  • To coordinate co-design strategic planning activities with communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders.
  • To lead stakeholder engagement processes to ensure inclusive and culturally appropriate outcomes.
  • To develop and maintain reporting frameworks, performance measures, and planning tools.
  • To contribute to policy, processes, and strategies to drive continuous improvement in planning outcomes.
  • To provide high-level advice, reports, and briefing material to senior executives and stakeholders.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy, collaboration, and leadership.

Requirements:
  • Strong facilitation and engagement skills, with proven ability to build trust with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Demonstrated experience in project or program management, reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic objectives with program constraints and delivery realities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote), with SAP or Content Manager experience highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
