Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Intake and Assessment Officer at our Kingaroy centre.

This is a full-time, permanent position that will involve engaging with clients, conducting thorough assessments, and providing referrals to relevant services.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a deep understanding of mental health principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients, conduct comprehensive assessments, and provide referrals to relevant services.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide brief interventions, counselling services, and support to clients as needed.
  • Monitor client progress, participate in case review meetings, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary level qualifications in health, behavioural/social sciences, community services, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience working in the mental health sector, preferably in a similar role.
  • A broad understanding of mental health principles and practices, including risk assessment and management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse client groups and stakeholders.
