Job Overview

As an Assistant Store Manager at Rockingham, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager to achieve overall success. You will co-lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive sales growth, and maintain a high level of operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Experience: Lead by example to create a customer-centric culture, driving sales growth and increasing customer satisfaction.
  2. Team Development: Conduct regular development sessions to enhance team members' skills, harmonizing with the business goals to achieve financial sales, profit, and productivity targets.
  3. Visual Merchandising: Showcase expertise in visual merchandising to transform the store into an attractive haven that captures customers' attention and creates an atmosphere that makes shopping an enjoyable experience.
  4. Operational Excellence: Oversee store rostering and wage expenses efficiently, maintaining commercial acumen while ensuring stock levels are optimal for customer needs.
  5. Store Performance: Track sales performance diligently, recognizing exceptional results and pinpointing opportunities for enhancement, communicating findings to peers and senior management.
  6. Talent Acquisition: Collaborate closely with the Store Manager and Talent Acquisition team to identify and recruit dedicated retail professionals to join our organization.
Requirements
  1. Previous Experience: Previous experience as an Assistant/Store Manager or Full-time worker in a retail environment.
  2. Purpose: A passion for the retail industry is essential, with the ability to manage budgets, interpret financial reports, and generate efficient rosters in the absence of the Store Manager.
  3. Skills: Operational excellence, experienced across stock control, and a keen eye for visual merchandising.
