About the Role
As a Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Support Worker, you'll work closely with consumers to deliver intensive support. You'll conduct comprehensive assessments, coordinate care plans, and facilitate navigation and linkage services.
This role involves working one-on-one with allocated consumers to provide therapeutic psychosocial and alcohol and other drug education and intervention. You'll also draw upon your own experiences to support consumers in understanding their circumstances and facilitating recovery and self-management.
About the Team
Collaboration is key in this role. You'll work effectively within a multidisciplinary team that includes colleagues with lived experience of mental health conditions or as carers of those who do.
You'll need a solid understanding of various models of practice that complement supporting people with mental health and alcohol and other drugs. Relevant qualifications or experience in the Mental Health Sector or Intentional Peer Support Training are essential.
