Technical Leadership Role

This is a genuine technical leadership position managing one of Australia's most critical customer-facing platforms, carrying 60-70% of all web traffic and integrating with more than 200 internal systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of direct reports and manage vendor partnerships to achieve business goals
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a Java/microservices platform on AWS, with DevOps, Node.js and some React exposure
  • Drive strategy and ensure platform stability through collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Balance internal resources with vendor relationships to deliver business outcomes
  • Work with security and infra teams to optimize performance, reliability and remediation
Requirements:
  • A proven engineering-first leader with a strong background in Java, AWS and microservices who has grown into leadership roles
  • Experience managing both internal teams and vendor partners to drive business success
  • Someone comfortable engaging in complex technical discussions while leading high-performing teams
  • Background in enterprise integrations or high-traffic platforms, experience in logistics or similar industries is an advantage
