Communications Expertise Job

We deliver network solutions to keep communities connected.

Maintenance of a critical communications network in New South Wales supports over 50 emergency services agencies and utilities, ensuring reliable communication during crisis times.

We maintain the Public Safety Network across multiple sites.

Our teams ensure continuity of our network, while operators keep the public informed during crisis times.

We care for our People and develop innovative solutions for new technologies.

This role involves providing technical support and maintenance for Motorola P25 network management-tool and architecture.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical service according to requirements.
  • Support Motorola P25 Network management-tool and architecture.
  • Assist the technical change management process by testing changes that affect End User Devices.
  • Escalate and provide support to level 3 support as required.
  • Perform engineering support to broader NOCC, L2 and field teams where needed.
  • Interact with clients to resolve issues or problems.
  • Take the lead in providing ad hoc support, training, direction, and guidance to teams.

You will be an expert in understanding protocols, standards and interfaces that allow interoperability between core elements or between different vendors within the core of a network or between the core of a networks and field devices.

A Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or Diploma is required.

Preferably 15+ years in a mobile communications systems engineering role or related roles in the telecommunication industry is preferred.

Australian Citizenship is essential to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance as a condition of employment.
