Job Title: Senior API Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior API Developer to lead the end-to-end delivery of API services. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to finalize functional specifications and interface documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Teams: Work closely with business teams to define functional requirements and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Documentation and Review: Collaborate with Tech Leads and stakeholders to review and finalize documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Agile Team Operations: Operate within an Agile team to document and communicate changes, ensuring seamless integration with other teams.
  • Interface Design: Design and create robust interfaces for system integration, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
  • User Interface Discussions: Participate in user interface discussions and application design, ensuring a user-centric approach.
  • Consultant Collaboration: Support and collaborate with internal and external consultants, ensuring effective knowledge sharing and expertise.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Framework 5x, Spring Boot 2x, JUnit 5, Mockito, logging frameworks, and Postman.
  • Infra/DevOps Design: Experience in Infra/DevOps design, ensuring efficient and scalable system architecture.
  • Knowledge and Standards: Knowledge of Maven, Git, Splunk, Bamboo, Swagger, design patterns, and industry standards.
  • API Framework Delivery: Proven experience in delivering API frameworks, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.

Additional Skills:

  • Banking Project Experience: Essential experience in banking project delivery, ensuring expertise in financial industry requirements.
  • Debugging and Clean Coding: Strong debugging and clean coding skills with TDD, ensuring high-quality code and efficient problem-solving.
  • Code Quality and Security: Proactive in addressing software issues related to code quality and security, ensuring a secure and reliable system.
  • Mentorship: Ability to mentor junior consultants, ensuring knowledge sharing and expertise growth.

Location and Contract Term:

  • Location: Sydney
  • Contract Term: 6 months with potential extensions, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.

Security Requirements:

  • Australian Work Rights: Full Australian work rights required, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
