Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior team members in data engineering activities, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and meetings to drive project objectives forward.
  • Enhance estimation accuracy by writing tasks and estimating work hours for sprint planning.
  • Develop, deploy, test, and monitor data engineering solutions with minimal supervision, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, articles, and diagrams using industry-standard notation, facilitating clear communication among team members.
About the Ideal Candidate
  • A recent graduate (within the last 12 months or graduating by the end of 2024) with a degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field and a GPA of 6.0 or better.
  • No prior IT-related work experience or corporate office setting experience is required.
  • An ambitious individual eager to start a career in IT as a Data Engineer working on modern data platforms, driven by a passion for innovation and excellence.
  • Excellent team players with clear communication skills and internal drive for engineering excellence are highly valued.
  • Broad understanding of data profiling, cleansing, transformation methods, Kimball dimensional data model, ETL/ELT design patterns, and data warehousing concepts is essential.
  • Good note-taking skills and ability to follow up are necessary for success.
  • Demonstrated good time management skills and punctual attendance to meetings and work are crucial.
  • Ability to research and apply knowledge to troubleshoot and build solutions is vital.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and lateral thinking with strong attention to detail are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team is fundamental.
  • Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud services is highly regarded.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL solutions is also highly regarded.
