We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Poultry Hand at McLean Farms. As a key member of our Gardens team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our layer hens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily checks on feed, water, and lighting systems to ensure optimal conditions for the birds.
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and ensure the cleanliness of sheds and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure bird welfare, egg systems, and egg belts are functioning efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
About You:
- You will have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in the poultry industry is not essential, but a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations is crucial.
- You will be required to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong attention to detail are essential for this role.
