**Job Title:** Produce Quality Manager

Description:

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the quality control process of fresh produce. This includes assessing incoming produce, monitoring factors such as temperature and humidity, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the quality of incoming produce and implementing a grading process
  • Monitoring temperature, humidity, and cleanliness levels to ensure optimal storage conditions
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of product quality control activities
  • Taking prompt corrective actions in response to quality issues or mechanical damage
  • Collaborating with farm managers and team members to address production, maintenance, and dispatch procedures
  • Managing waste through proper residue disposal procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene procedures throughout the production process
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Requirements:

  • AQF Cert III or IV qualifications or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a farm setting
  • Strong understanding of agricultural production processes
  • Proficiency in quality control and adherence to standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to coordinate with various departments and ensure compliance with regulations

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, on-site at our farm location.
