About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Mig Welder to join the operations team at West Coast Sheet Metal, a dynamic and national leader in the manufacture and marketing of building and home improvement products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of products for our trade and retail customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture goods to the customers' requirements
• Perform tasks including interpreting technical product drawings, MIG welding using mild steel and silicone bronze
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Operate plant and mobile equipment, including overhead cranes
• Collaborate with team members, other departments, and projects
• Participate in training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to our critical safety rules and contribute to a safe working environment

About You:

• Essential: Welding experience of mild steel, galvanized products in both light and heavy gauges
• Essential: At least 2 years of relevant experience working in a production environment
• Desirable: AQF Certificate III Engineering (Fabrication)
• Commitment to producing quality products
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sound awareness of safety standards and alertness of moving parts and people
• Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
