A leading residential children’s home is seeking a highly skilled Registered Care Manager to oversee the well-being and care of young people.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive care plans, ensuring each young person receives tailored support to meet their individual needs. This includes addressing their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health requirements.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Developing and implementing effective care plans
  • Fostering open communication with young people, parents, carers, and other professionals
  • Collaborating with the management team to ensure high-quality standards are maintained
  • Taking responsibility for addressing complaints and child protection concerns
Requirements

To be considered for this challenging and rewarding role, applicants must possess:

  • Relevant experience in residential care, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position
  • A Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care (essential) and Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A full UK manual driving license

The residential children’s home holds a Good rating with OFSTED and has an excellent reputation within the local authorities. The home provides care and support to young people with learning disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy, and associated behaviors. Many of the young people are non-verbal or have limited communication, requiring alternative methods such as picture boards, Smartbox devices, and Makaton.
