At Arup, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Creative Lighting Visionary to join our Melbourne office. As the leader of our established lighting team, you will be responsible for driving the direction and vision of the team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have a strong background in lighting design, with expertise in technical lighting calculations, visual communication, and project management. They will be responsible for guiding and inspiring teams to achieve shared goals, leveraging diverse strengths and fostering a cooperative environment. The role will also involve developing connections into the business through consistent interactions and sharing expertise, as well as promoting learning opportunities from successes and problems that arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Recognized tertiary qualifications in lighting design, architecture/interior design, or industrial design;
- Skilled in visual communication including hand sketching and software packages & graphical communications software (Photoshop, InDesign);
- Demonstrated ability to guide and inspire teams to achieve shared goals, leveraging diverse strengths and fostering a cooperative environment;
- Experience in technical lighting calculations (i.e. Dialux, Dialux Evo AGI32);
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
- Paid parental leave for the primary carer of 16 weeks or 32 weeks at half pay, as well as generous unpaid leave benefits;
- Paid parental leave for the support carer of 4 weeks, plus the opportunity to access extra paid and unpaid leave if you later become the primary carer;
