Job Title: Transportation Instructor

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transportation Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment programs to new recruits and existing drivers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide initial appraisal of driver competency and driving behavior for potential new starters
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of heavy vehicle driver capability, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) awareness, training, monitoring, and support
  • Develop and deliver training programs to white-collar operations staff around CoR and breach management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies aimed at eliminating heavy vehicle incidents and improving driver efficiency and reducing fleet maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and emissions

    Requirements:

  • Current MC Driver's Licence
  • Previous relevant heavy vehicle driver assessment/training experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
  • Heavy vehicle instruction/assessment qualifications highly regarded
