About the Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Senior Financial Accountant to join our team for a 6-month contract opportunity. This role will involve having a hands-on approach and focus on the timely completion of our year-end financial processes. You will be responsible for liaising with external auditors, preparing statutory accounts, and managing group reporting. Key tasks include managing and executing the year-end closing process, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation. You will be the key point of contact for external auditors, coordinating and facilitating audit requests, assisting with the resolutions of audit findings and recommendations. You will also prepare and review statutory accounts in compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards. Furthermore, you will analyse financial data and prepare management reports, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Senior Financial Accountant with a focus on year-end closing and external audits. A degree qualification and completed CA/CPA certification are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture client relationships, are necessary. Financial acumen, with a keen ability to analyse financial statements and make informed decisions, is crucial. Experience with statutory accounts and group reporting is highly desirable. A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards is essential. Experience with Oracle financial systems is highly desirable.
