About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operational Coordinator to join our team in Campbelltown. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth workflow of the shift, facilitating timely and efficient operating lists and labour management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards.
  • Liaise with perioperative services manager, department heads, and VMOs to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Ensure theatres are staffed appropriately and cost-efficiently within KPI targets.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislative requirements, ACORN, and sterilization standards to guarantee compliance.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations to maintain a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care.

Requirements

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA is essential.
  • At least 5 years' experience in perioperative settings is required.
  • A postgraduate certificate in perioperative nursing or equivalent is desirable.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ACQSHC national standards is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with diverse stakeholders is crucial.
  • Solid understanding of labour management principles is required.
  • Knowledge of private health funding requirements is essential.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases, is required.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment is essential.
