About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Production Manager to lead our Carbon Maintenance team at our Bell Bay Aluminium smelter in Northern Tasmania.
The successful candidate will have a great blend of technical and interpersonal skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and development of the team.

You will be responsible for:
- Supporting and leading a maintenance team across the Carbon department
- Ensuring site safety and operational standards are adhered to within your team
- Maintaining a safe work environment for your team
- Reporting safety incidents, near misses and quality issues
- Conducting daily Shift Start Meeting
- Monitoring, understanding, reporting, and recording operational KPI's for your team
- Liaising with Operations and Asset Management teams to work through operational issues in a timely manner and escalating when required
- Ensuring a high quality of maintenance work on assets
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- A proven record of delivering outstanding safety performance
- Demonstrate proactive and positive leadership skills that result in an effective, engaged team
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence, and build credibility and trust across all levels of the organization
- The desire to work with the operations, technical and leadership teams to improve department and site performance
- Demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot and perform under limited supervision
- Strong resource planning and organization skills
- SAP Knowledge is favorable
- Previous maintenance experience
