Meat Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Department Supervisor to join our team at Costco Wholesale. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of meat department personnel, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of meat department personnel, providing coaching, counseling, and direction to ensure excellent performance and teamwork.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to drive sales and merchandising initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Monitor and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in the meat department, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to member inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Participate in performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve department performance and efficiency.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
- Proven track record of leadership and team management, with a focus on customer service and quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; butcher trade qualification preferred.
