Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gardening Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and organizing a small team in day-to-day garden and landscape work. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the resort's gardens and outdoor spaces are meticulously maintained and presented to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small team of gardeners, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Landscape Design and Management: Assist in the planning and implementation of new and established gardens, ensuring they are visually appealing and well-maintained.
- Equipment Management: Organize and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and available for use when needed.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Develop and maintain effective communication with the greenkeeping team, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Certificate III in Horticulture: A minimum of a Certificate III in Horticulture is required for this role.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
- Practical Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a garden or landscape setting is required.
- Knowledge of Plant Species and Gardening Techniques: A genuine interest and knowledge of plant species and gardening techniques is essential for this role.
