About the Role

  • As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for providing audience insights for clients leveraging IPG-owned proprietary data assets.
  • You will transform, optimize, and provide efficiencies within our data platforms to facilitate online & offline marketing effectiveness.
  • You will enable clients to optimize their marketing budgets and measure their business performance through data analysis and predictive modeling.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Work with one of the largest consumer data sets in AU, acquiring, cleansing, transforming, and verifying data from first, second, and third-party sources.
  2. Interpret data, analyze results, and identify trends using statistical techniques, providing ongoing insights and measurement reports.
  3. Manage end-to-end client delivery, involving internal stakeholders, data collection, quality control, and delivering accurate and timely models and insights.
  4. Execute and track project tasks, investigating issues and escalating to the Head of Data Science if deadlines are at risk.
  5. Collaborate with specialist teams on data infrastructure and process.
  6. Liaise with internal SBUs/Agencies to verify data integrity, model accuracy, and input for client presentations.
  7. Engage leaders across the business to build a data science profile and identify new business opportunities.
  8. Evaluate and refine processes for continued efficiency improvements.

About You

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a data scientist, preferably in a similar role.
  • Experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) for analyzing large datasets.
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques (e.g., multiple linear regression, classification, segmentation).
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI principles.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets, particularly web traffic (clickstream) and third-party demographic data.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate, and interrogate data using SQL/R/Python applied to large databases.
  • Desirable skills include experience with media analytics and visualizing/presenting data using Tableau.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
