About Us

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cemetery Maintenance Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in their work.

Job Description

This role involves working alongside a team to maintain and enhance council-controlled cemeteries within Ipswich. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and enhancing lawns and green spaces to a high standard
  • Operating various mowing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Inspecting and maintaining equipment on a regular basis
  • Completing service requests as required

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including grass cutting, pruning, and other grounds maintenance tasks. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment, and we expect all staff to adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in lawn maintenance (cemetery experience highly regarded)
  • A valid manual driver's license
  • A White Card
  • The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team and/or individually
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
