We are seeking an experienced Climate Risk Specialist to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our Climate Change & Sustainability service, you will play a critical role in assisting clients to understand and optimise their organisational response to climate change, carbon management, and emission reduction.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct climate-related risk and opportunity assessments and scenario analysis, with multiple climate risk scenarios across various time horizons.
- Develop and implement decarbonisation and Net Zero strategies, including transition plans and Marginal Abatement Cost Curves.
- Identify emissions boundaries for complex organisational structures, develop organisational emissions inventories, and prepare basis of preparation.
- Collaborate with clients to integrate climate strategy into sustainability, risk management, and corporate processes.
- Develop and strengthen client relationships through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Master's degree and/or PhD in Science, Environment, Sustainability, Carbon Management, Engineering, or Environmental Economics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in climate hazard assessment and/or climate transition assessment and associated modelling.
- Sound understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol suite of standards, Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) standards, and other common carbon accounting frameworks for corporates and financial institutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop and strengthen client relationships.
