As a key member of the Australian Defence Force, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational effectiveness of advanced maritime systems.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled electronics technicians to maintain and repair complex systems onboard submarines, including communications, sonar, navigation, combat data, fire control, and weapons systems.

  • Monitoring system performance and developing proposed modifications and repair solutions
  • Supervising and evaluating equipment trials
  • Resource management and assigning/scheduling personnel, assets, equipment, and finances

This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your professional learning and gain international recognition as a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) accredited by Engineers Australia.

You will have access to government and private support organisations, working closely with military, Defence civilians, and contractors. This may involve placements within contractor organisations or the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group.
