We are seeking a skilled Painting Trades Specialist to join our team at AP Creative Pty Ltd. As a Painting Trades Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and painting surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes and adhering to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and prime surfaces for painting
  • Mix and apply paint, varnish, and other finishes
  • Scrape, sandpaper, and prime surfaces prior to painting
  • Clean walls and surfaces to ensure proper adherence
  • Cover exposed objects and surfaces
  • Calculate material quantities and estimate costs
  • Fill cracks and holes with caulk or putty
  • Erect scaffolding and staging to access difficult areas
  • Remove fixtures and apply touch-ups or second coats
  • Clean up equipment and tools

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Painting and Decorating or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with clients to deliver on their design visions. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work unsupervised are essential for this role.
