Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Orderly Team Leader to join our perioperative services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality services to our operating theatres, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of cleaning and maintenance procedures in the theatre environment.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff, allocating tasks and resources to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and patient flow.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to staff as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a senior role, with 2 years in a team leader position.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Computer literacy skills, including MS Office.
  • Sound knowledge of accreditation standards and industry best practices.
