About the Role

The Storehouse Assistant is a key position within our team at Ventia, working in partnership with the Australian Defence Force to support the retail stores contract at Enoggera.

This permanent opportunity involves working Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4pm, providing an excellent work-life balance. As a Storehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for storing and distributing defence force clothing for serving defence personnel under general supervision.

Duties:

  • Receiving, checking, and acquitting stores under supervision
  • Packing and preparing stock for dispatch, as well as loading and unloading trucks when required and qualified
  • Assisting with kit issues for customers
  • Reconciling EFTPOS transactions under supervision
  • Providing over-the-counter customer service
  • Assisting with regular stock takes
  • Inspecting and accepting return items from customers for serviceability and re-issue
  • Processing workplace documentation for store transactions
  • Storing and packing goods and materials in accordance with procedures and regulations
  • Operating stores machinery, tools, and equipment not requiring licensed operators or tickets

Requirements:

  • Prior demonstrated experience as a store/warehouse attendant
  • Knowledge of or ability to gain knowledge of the Electronic Supply Chain Manual, MILIS, PIMS, DTP, and Defence-related logistic policies
  • Driver's licence applicable to vehicles on site (car)
  • Forklift license highly desirable
  • Good customer service skills
  • A team player who works well with others
  • Intermediate computer skills (spreadsheets and applications)
