Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinarian - Emergency and Critical Care Specialist to join our team at Greencross Limited. As a key member of our emergency and critical care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with our team of specialists, and contributing to the development of our emergency and critical care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency and critical care department, including triage, diagnosis, and treatment of critically ill and injured patients.
- Collaborate with our team of specialists, including surgeons, internists, and critical care specialists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, fluid therapy, and other interventions as needed.
- Participate in the development and implementation of emergency and critical care protocols and procedures.
- Contribute to the education and training of our veterinary team, including residents and interns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in emergency and critical care medicine, including research and best practices.
Requirements
- Registration as a veterinarian with the relevant state or territory veterinary board.
- Completion of a residency program in emergency and critical care or equivalent experience.
- Current certification in emergency and critical care, such as Fellow (ANZCVS) or Diplomate (ACVECC, ECVECC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our team of specialists and support staff.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
