Automation Systems Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to design, develop and integrate industrial automation systems from concept to commissioning. We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Engineer to join our forward-thinking organisation that thrives on solving complex automation challenges.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement automation and control systems for bespoke machinery and robotic cells.
  • Program Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs and develop HMIs.
  • Perform robotic programming (ABB and/or KUKA essential).
  • Integrate and troubleshoot vision systems - including Cognex, Micro-Epsilon or Mech-Mind.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics and lead component selection.
About You
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in controls engineering across programming, PLCs, HMIs and vision integration.
  • Proven capability with Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs.
  • Robot programming experience with ABB and/or KUKA is essential.
  • Strong experience with vision systems, ideally Cognex, Micro-Epsilon or Mech-Mind.
  • Skilled in electrical schematic design and component selection.
  • Experience delivering diverse and bespoke automation projects from scratch.
