Aquatic Weed Management Professional

This role is focused on the delivery of aquatic weed management activities. Key responsibilities include operating Council's aquatic weed harvester and marine support vessel to deliver scheduled aquatic weed maintenance activities, ensuring technical compliance, worksite safety, and communication with stakeholders.
Job DescriptionThe Aquatic Weed Management Specialist will participate in a rotation of environmental restoration and management maintenance activities. This may involve labouring tasks in a park, open space, or natural environment setting. The role also involves assisting other team members in completing tasks when demand for aquatic weed maintenance is low or environmental conditions prevent the operation of the aquatic weed harvester.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Certificate III in Maritime Operations Master up to 24 meters near coastal
- Coxswain Grade 2 near coastal commercial operator's Licence
- Marine Radio Operators Certificate of Proficiency
- Manual 'C' class drivers licence
- Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD)
- 17.5% annual leave loading
