Regional Community Liaison Officer – Geraldton Employment Region

This critical role involves building relationships and solving problems to make a positive impact on people's lives.
As a key player in the Geraldton Employment Region, you will work closely with local stakeholders to identify regional jobs and skills priorities, driving initiatives to achieve them.
You will be based in Geraldton and will work collaboratively with business and communities to support local workforce needs. The successful candidate will have a high level of self-sufficiency, initiative, and passion for helping people collaborate and deliver outcomes for their community.
Key Responsibilities- Support the employment priorities of the region by establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate engagement and discussion between Australian Government agencies, state government, councils, and community-based organisations to understand community needs.
- Compile and share relevant information and evidence with the Department to support employment services reform.
- Develop and implement initiatives that create opportunities for job seekers with local employers, resulting in employment outcomes.
- A valid driver's licence and home internet are essential for this role.
- A Working with Vulnerable People check is also required.
