Please note that a School Certificate or Higher School Certificate is required, and no prior tertiary qualifications in Arboriculture are acceptable.

About the role

This fixed-term contract will run until 2027. As a Trainee Arborist, you will participate in on-the-job training and complete a Certificate III in Arboriculture. You will gain valuable experience and skills in tree pruning, branch chipping, tree removal, and general tree maintenance.

You will contribute to the overall success of the Open Space & Trees department and have opportunities for professional growth and development.

Essential criteria
  • No prior qualification in Arboriculture or related field
  • Class C Driver's Licence (P1 Licence also acceptable)
  • Willingness to undertake training for an MR Licence
  • Basic knowledge and genuine interest in pursuing a career in Arboriculture
