The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer care to patients and their families, while also contributing to the smooth operation of our Emergency Department.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
- Handle enquiries efficiently and effectively.
- Answer calls and redirect as necessary.
- Prepare admission paperwork accurately and on time.
- Perform health fund checks as required.
- Manage deposits, excess/co-payments, and out-of-pocket fees.
- Coordinate with staff from other departments for seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records.
- Experience in an acute patient-focused healthcare facility or hospital is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail is necessary.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is desired.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including 7-day rotating rosters.
- WebPas Hospital system experience is an advantage.
