Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee and manage our plumbing and gas services across the city's buildings, facilities, and structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing plumbing and gas works to ensure these assets are well maintained, functional, and compliant with relevant standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong educational background in Engineering, Building, or a related field, with a focus on plumbing and gas systems.
  • A valid Plumbing Contractor's Licence issued by the relevant authority, covering water, drainage, and sanitary aspects.
  • A current Construction Safety Induction Card and a Working at Heights Ticket.
  • A clean 'C' class motor vehicle licence and a high level of knowledge in building compliance legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and manage individual work responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret standards and codes and make informed decisions.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the city's plumbing and gas services are delivered efficiently and effectively, while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan, coordinate, and execute plumbing and gas works to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • To manage and supervise a team of plumbing and gas tradespersons, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • To maintain accurate records of work completed, including progress reports and incident logs.
  • To identify and address potential risks and hazards, implementing measures to mitigate them.
