We are seeking a skilled Tunnel Operations Management Specialist to join our team in North Sydney. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

About the Role

The Tunnel Operations Management Specialist will support the Operations Manager in delivering training, mentoring, and roster management for the Tunnel Control Room Operators. You will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the operation of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel using defined procedures and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the operation of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel
  • Detect and respond to incidents from control room systems and camera networks
  • Observe and initiate remedial action to traffic conditions as required
  • Log all incidents through various stages
  • Assist and train Traffic Control Room Operators and Incident Response crew
  • Create and manage rosters for the team, filling in shifts where needed
  • Assist with scheduling, procedures, and setup of planned traffic disruptions
  • Develop and manage training for Traffic Control Operators and Incident Response personnel
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in operational practices to enhance service delivery

About You

  • You have exceptional reporting and computer skills
  • You possess experience in a similar role, preferably in traffic control operations
  • You hold a Cert IV in Traffic Control Room Operations
  • You have a good knowledge of traffic control principles
  • You hold a NSW driver's license and white card
  • You have emergency response training and First Aid/CPR certification
