About the Role

As a Vaccination Specialist, you will be responsible for administering vaccines and conducting immunisation clinics in accordance with Vaxworks Health Services protocols and relevant State/Territory requirements. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of vaccinations, ensure adequate supplies of vaccines and consumables, and provide efficient communication with clients and staff.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year's nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role, and sound knowledge of communicable diseases, occupational immunisation programs, and immunisation practice in workplace and school settings. You will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work unsupervised, and well-developed administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vaccines and conduct immunisation clinics in accordance with Vaxworks Health Services protocols and relevant State/Territory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of vaccinations on the Vaxworks immunisation record management system.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of vaccines and consumables for use at immunisation clinics.
  • Provide efficient communication with clients and staff.
  • Manage post-vaccination emergencies with limited assistance.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified nurse with current registration and a valid driver's licence.
  • Minimum one year's experience in a community-based nursing role, preferably with exposure to mass-vaccination services.
  • Sound knowledge of communicable diseases, occupational immunisation programs, and immunisation practice in workplace and school settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities to achieve set objectives within given timeframes.
  • Well-developed administrative skills, including proficiency in computer software applications.
Salary and Benefits

$80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus mileage allowances and access to specialised immunisation-related CPD.
