Procurement Excellence Specialist

Job Description:

This is a key role within the procurement team, responsible for delivering high-quality procurement advice and support to staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assigned work and provide accurate procurement advice and information in alignment with departmental procurement policy and processes.
  • Monitor and review end-to-end procurement activity implementation, including procurement planning and documentation, evaluation, supplier negotiation, contract documentation, supply arrangements establishment, and maintenance.
  • Provide accurate and professional advice and support to staff regarding end-to-end procurement activities.
  • Liaise, negotiate, and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement processes, procedures, training, and delegations.
  • Assist staff with contract management, including planning, administration, accounts payable, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of initiatives to improve procurement processes and activities.
  • Support complex procurement projects by undertaking administrative functions as directed by the Senior Advisor.
  • Actively contribute to team operations and participate in performance conversations to build a culture of performance improvement.
  • This position has a level 4 procurement delegation.
  • Acts in accordance with the Queensland Public Service legislative framework and Code of Conduct. Models ethical behavior and applies those standards consistently.
