General Merchandise Buyer

We are seeking an experienced General Merchandise Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in buying, with the ability to develop ranges that balance price, volume, and quality.

The ideal candidate will be able to recognize and interpret trends, and build ranges that ensure consistent brand handwriting. They will also have commercial skills, combined with the ability to analyze customer needs and research to effectively deliver long-term strategic growth.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing ranges to establish the appropriate balance of price, high volume, basics, quality, innovation, and trend to deliver strong category growth.
  • Ability to recognise and interpret trends and build ranges to ensure consistent brand handwriting.
  • Using commercial skills, combined with the ability to analyse customers' needs and research to effectively deliver long-term strategic growth.
  • Managing the end-to-end Critical Path process across functions to meet instore dates.
  • Managing and using strategies to achieve financial plans including sales, profit, and stock turn.

  • Extensive buying experience combined with trend awareness (within General Merchandise is essential).
