Position Overview

Due to multiple project wins in the region, AECOM's Mackay-based Civil Infrastructure (CI) / Industrial teams are in search of a dedicated and highly motivated Civil Engineer / Project Manager who aspires to advance their career in leading, securing, and executing civil infrastructure and multi-disciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of Civil Infrastructure projects to ensure high standards, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of various projects, including light and heavy vehicle roadways, water supply systems, mine-site water management, hydraulic modeling, drainage systems, levees, dams, and construction quality assurance.
  • Assist in securing projects across the region by contributing to bids and proposals.
  • Utilize your technical expertise and communication skills to mentor and guide junior engineers while continuing your development as a future leader within the organization.
  • Possess 8+ years of experience in a project-winning or engineering delivery role.

Your ability to mentor others, fulfill commitments, and build strong client relationships will be crucial to your success in this position.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications and experience are highly preferred, but if you do not meet all the criteria, you may still be an excellent fit for this role. We encourage you to apply; all applications will be evaluated.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent);
  • 8+ years of experience in an engineering delivery role;
  • Experience in project management;
  • Business development experience (preferred);
  • RPEQ/CPEng certification (preferred).
