At Spotlight Group, we're seeking an experienced Sew and Fabric Buyer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our buying team, you'll play a critical role in delivering our business strategy and driving category growth.

As a Sew and Fabric Buyer, you'll be responsible for building commercially balanced product ranges, managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, and developing strategies to achieve financial objectives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand identity and deliver long-term strategic growth.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated individual with a passion for products and a knack for problem-solving. If you're ready to take your career to new heights and make a significant impact, we want to hear from you.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial objectives, including sales, profit, and stock turnover.
  • Build commercially balanced product ranges in line with company strategy, managing the end-to-end product lifecycle.
  • Recognize and interpret trends to build ranges that ensure consistent brand identity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver long-term strategic growth.
  • Manage and inspire your team to achieve success within your category.

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a category manager or buyer.
  • A degree in merchandise buying or business highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • A data-driven approach, with strong attention to detail and a knack for problem-solving.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and delivering outstanding results.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
  • A genuine passion for products.
  • An interest or background in textiles or sewing is a plus.
