Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical BIM Designer to join our building services team in Melbourne/Sydney. The successful candidate will have a proven history of BIM project delivery and will be responsible for producing detailed electrical building services documentation to a high level.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Produce detailed electrical building services documentation to a high level, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Project Management: Set up and manage projects throughout the life of the project, including liaising with the Architect and managing all aspects of the project.
  3. Lead REVIT Co-ordinator: Undertake the role of lead REVIT co-ordinator for small to large projects, managing all aspects of the project, including clash detection and co-ordination, document control, etc.
  4. BIM Model Review: Review and audit BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  5. Design Support: Assist the Electrical design team with design appropriate tasks, including NCC calculations, lighting layouts, schematics, etc.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution.
  7. Mentorship: Assist with mentoring junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 3+ years of experience in BIM project delivery and associated design and collaboration tools, including but not limited to Revit, Autocad, BIM360, etc.
  2. Project Management: Experience in managing a project, including managing the modelling team and external parties.
  3. Technical Skills: Experience with Revit family editing, advanced modelling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup.
  4. Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  5. Time Management: Time management and organisational skills.
  6. Qualifications: A relevant technical qualification in electrical design would be an advantage.
  7. Citizenship: Australian citizenship would be an advantage.
