**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Green Assets team as a Senior Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and caring for high-profile areas, parks, gardens, ovals, and green spaces across the city.

In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality sustainable landscape management. You will work collaboratively with our skilled team to ensure that these valued community assets remain safe, attractive, and well-maintained.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your practical skills daily, assist with planning and coordinating tasks, and contribute to creating vibrant outdoor environments for the community to enjoy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and care of high-profile areas, parks, gardens, ovals, and green spaces
  • Delivering high-quality sustainable landscape management
  • Collaborating with the team to plan and coordinate tasks
  • Creating vibrant outdoor environments for the community

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive practical experience in horticulture, turf management, or open space maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and programming
  • Current and valid Class MR Driver's License or Higher
  • Broad experience in the operation of machinery, plant, and equipment, hand and power tools
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Chainsaw Competency Ticket
  • Work zone Traffic Management Ticket
  • Current Chem cert accreditation
  • White Card
  • Understanding of local government and Council's structure, policies, functions, and activities
