The hospital operates 24/7 and has an in-house security service that protects patients, visitors, and staff from harm. This service also maintains order and control, as well as protecting personal and hospital property from theft, misuse, and vandalism.
About the Role
This role requires you to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and to work across all Austin Health sites. You will be responsible for assisting wards and departments with unruly or disorientated patients or visitors, as well as assisting with car parking operations when required.
You will also be responsible for auditing the CCTV system daily and reporting any faults to the Security Manager.
About You
We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to the security and safety of staff, patients, and visitors. You should bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should hold and maintain a current Security/Crowd controlling Licence, have experience in the delivery of security services, and be familiar with security operating software and systems, including controls and CCTV.
You should also have highly developed communication and conflict resolution skills, as well as strong customer service skills.
