Capital Project Leader

We are seeking a seasoned Capital Project Leader to join our engineering team. As a key contributor, you will drive the planning, design, and implementation phases of various capital projects across automation, process improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and new equipment installations.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage technical details while balancing stakeholder engagement, budget control, risk management, and alignment with business objectives.

  • This role demands a high level of collaboration and agility, ensuring all projects meet rigorous standards for safety, quality, environmental compliance, and performance.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders to deliver the capital and technical agenda of allocated projects during the development phase.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience working in FMCG, preferably food and beverage industries, with confectionary processes being highly advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in food processing, automation, and packaging systems, including batch preparation and processing, AGV systems, SCADA, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Australian standards and regulatory compliance knowledge, as well as IECEX and ATEX standards, is highly regarded.
