We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Critical Environment Technician Manager to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for our online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.
ResponsibilitiesPeople Management- Lead a team of operations specialists to deliver success through empowerment and accountability.
- Model our culture and values, and coach team members to do the same.
- Attract and retain top talent, and invest in the growth and development of your team.
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance of critical environment-related facility equipment, including controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical systems, and generators.
- Monitor performance and identify trends to optimize maintenance and operations.
- Utilize internal computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track equipment assets and complete work orders.
- Respond to and lead incident response teams for abnormal conditions that impact operations.
- Guide and oversee various types of maintenance and repairs, including planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more disciplines and types of equipment.
- Provide necessary escort to third-party contractors and vendors, and coordinate on-site activities.
- Ensure safety and security requirements are followed and met for the work of yourself and others.
- Maintain safe working conditions and escalate immediately when unsafe conditions are observed.
- Assess and identify resources and equipment necessary to support environmental health and safety objectives.
