About the Role

The Senior Adviser - Integrity supports Australian Red Cross people to prevent, detect and respond to incidents involving fraud, whistleblowing and integrity related matters.

This role is an internal specialist that supports risk-based incident management processes and assists with the investigation and management of high-risk incidents.

The role is responsible for building the capacity of Australian Red Cross people to uphold ethical practice and prevent fraud, whistleblower or integrity related issues through adopting a Speak Up culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement systems and processes that provide effective root cause analysis, systemic issue identification and trend analysis.
  • Lead centralized advisory services within complex and widely dispersed operating environments.
  • Design and enhance incident reporting to both Executive and Board.
  • Facilitate evidence-based and objective assessments of integrity incidents or issues.
  • Identify problems potentially impacting teams or programs and proactively develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications and working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly on sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of supporting integrity-based incidents.
  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of responding to incidents involving fraud, whistleblower or integrity related issues.
  • High-level ability to facilitate evidence-based and objective assessments of integrity incidents or issues.
  • Significant ability to use data, knowledge and experience to identify problems potentially impacting teams or programs and proactively develop and implement effective solutions.
  • High level of interpersonal, negotiation and consultation skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
