About the role
We're looking for someone with experience in the construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution electricity networks. As a Cable Jointer, you'll be responsible for constructing and maintaining the underground network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner.
Key responsibilities
- Construct network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards.
- Deal with day-to-day technical issues that can arise, on site, relating to design and construction issues.
- Execute programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe, reliable, and affordable operation of the network.
- Ensure prompt attendance to faults and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimise customer impact.
- On-site management of customers, traffic, and public.
- Assist with building team capability and providing and sharing technical knowledge and experience to others within the team of lesser experience.
Requirements
- Certificate III in ESI – Power System Distribution Cable Jointing or equivalent.
- Valid WA 'C' Class Drivers Licence (subject to business requirements).
- Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution electricity networks.
