This full-time position requires travel to project sites, and you will be working closely with our team to assist with geophysical surveys, downhole logging, and data analysis.
We are seeking an experienced Graduate/Junior Geophysicist to join our team for road, rail, and mine infrastructure projects across Australia, with opportunities for international work based in Sydney.
Responsibilities- Assist with collecting geophysical surveys using techniques such as Seismic Refraction, MASW, Electrical Resistivity, Magnetics, Ground Penetrating Radar, Electromagnetics.
- Undertake downhole geophysical logging surveys using various methods.
- Process, draft, and report on geophysical datasets.
- Maintain and operate geophysical equipment safely.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics or Geology.
- Numerical, analytical, and observational skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Familiarity with geophysical acquisition and processing software (e.g., Rayfract, ParkSeis, Oasis Montaj, Res2DInv).
- Valid Australian working rights and ability to pass a medical exam.
