We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Bradnam's Windows & Doors. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering our products to customers across the Cairns and Far North Qld region.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Vehicle Safety and Condition: Ensure all vehicles are in a safe, well-maintained, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
- Secure Cargo: Ensure all items on the back of trucks and trailers are secure before travel.
- Practice Good Hygiene: Maintain good hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Complete Paperwork: Complete all paperwork and check sheets as required and on time.
- Contribute to Housekeeping: Contribute to good housekeeping at the branch.
- Safe Work Practices: Demonstrate and uphold a commitment to safe work practices.
- Driver Diary: Maintain driver diary and supporting paperwork in accordance with State and Federal Regulations.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading the truck.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding delivery instructions.
- Compliance: Comply with site requirements regarding mandatory PPE, sign ins, or other processes and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate safe manual handling techniques and a positive work ethic. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Current Driver's Licence: A current drivers licence (Manual) with a clean driving record.
- Construction White Card: A construction white card.
- Truck Driving Experience: Prior truck driving experience.
- Workplace Health and Safety: A commitment to workplace health and safety practices including safe manual handling lifting heavy loads.
- Communication Skills: Great communication skills, reliable with a strong work ethic.
