Care Advocate for Substance Use Recovery
Job Description:Making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by substance use requires dedication, compassion, and expert care. As a Care Advocate for Substance Use Recovery, you will provide holistic support to promote wellbeing, reduce harm, and foster recovery in a rural setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver person-centered specialist care at an advanced practice level, collaborating with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and supervision to less experienced clinicians, ensuring quality care that meets individual needs.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, along with relevant post-registration qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drugs, and a minimum of three years' experience working in the clinical speciality.
- Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of complexities and challenges involved in providing specialty nursing care within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision making and leadership in advancing nursing specialty practice.
